Beginning of the 2017 Season

Our Public Running programme for 2017 is now well under way.
With the first day of the season being Mothers Day we did not expect too many people. However, with helpful weather we were soon busy greeting happy families to ride the rails.
Running on a Wednesday during the school holidays brought us more happy families, but mostly Mums and Grandparents as Dads were probably at work. The weather at Easter was also quite good so two more busy days were enjoyed.
Following winter maintenance and track alterations the recent running days proved that the work had been worthwhile. The locomotives performed well with steam, internal combustion and electric all operating at various times.
We now look forward to welcoming our friends old and new over the coming weeks of the season.
